So, I have been home for a week and a half and have started a list of things that I would like to do this summer, before I blow the time by watching movies or something.





So far, I have started a three dimensional apple sculpture thing for Broward County schools contest. Its supposed to represent their ideals for education, which I figure is a lot like Palm Beach county's ideals. I have four sides to fill, and they will be done in the areas of art, music, media/technology, P.E. and academics. I think art and music deserve more space, so they are my main areas to decorate. The apples will get auctioned off and will be displayed at the Galleria in Miami area. The top winner gets a certificate to the Galleria. It due Aug. 30, so some of it will get done at school, where I have more arty stuff to use for collage.







I have also thought about getting carpet, but it might be better to let the new owners do that when I get ready to sell. One less expense. I probably need the money to get rid of the bats, which are now in nesting season, so I can't do anything until August when the babies are bigger. They do keep the mosquitos down.







I am going to have a guy from church fix the stair rails and add a rail by the drop off. That should be a selling point, since there is less chance of anyone falling into the sunken living area, or sticking their body between the slats on the stairs.







That leaves painting the walls and fixing up the sewing room, clearing it out, adding the ironing board. I will seriously start that when my trial period for Blockbuster is up next week. Thats a lame excuse, but its my chance to goof off for a short time. Any more than that and I will feel guilty for watching movies when there are so many other things that need doing.







I did make two dvds of home movies, so I haven't totally wasted time yet.



Just some of it. And I did bring some stuff to the thrift store. Now I need to post things on ebay and make a little money from my overabundance of stuff.







Otherwise, before you know it, school starts and my focus is lost, because I have no motivation when I come home from school. Its come home, walk the dog, check the mail, etc. Right now, its wake up, walk the dog, check the paper, plan my day. Prioritize. Make a list.







I guess I will check back in and let you know what I crossed off my list this week.
