Picking blueberries
I got to Houston Saturday afternoon. The weather was good, I left the rain behind. Went to church Sunday, covered dish dinner, relaxed. Monday, Ali found a blueberry farm where you pick your own for 1.50 a lb. We went about 6 pm when it was cooler and we all had nice white buckets provided by the farm. they also told us where the best pickings were. Blue berries grow on bushes, so you have to kind of reach in or up for the good ones. Elijah caught on very fast, and Ethan just wandered around back and forth on the rows with his bucket, eating whatever he managed to pick. We ended up with one full bucket when combined, which was about 6 pounds. So far, we have had blueberries with ice cream, on our cereal, and made blueberry streusel. They are quite yummy and very healthy I am sure.
