| Henna painting is an ancient tradition stemming from India, Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East. The henna plant was found in Egypt and from there realized the leaves can be crushed into a fine powder and mixed with some oils, tea and lemon to form a paste. The paste is then used to draw designs on the body. The paste is left on for hours and when it is flaked off it leaves a beautiful temporary tattoo in a deep red color.
