FIVE-A-SIDE RULES

SYSTEM:
  1) Each team will play the other teams once.
  2) Each game will last NINE minutes.
  3) A win is worth THREE points, a draw ONE point, a defeat NO points.
  4) After the group stage, the two top teams will play in the Grand Final.
  5) If two teams are level on points, we decide positions according to:
         1st)   Result against each other.
         2nd) Goal difference.
         3rd)  Goals scored.
         4th)   Penalty shootout.
  6) If the Grand Final ends in a draw, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout.  Each team will take five kicks.  If there is still no winner, it will go to sudden-death penalties.

IMPORTANT RULES:
  1) The goalkeeper may not leave the penalty area or handle the ball outside the area.  If this happens, a free-kick will be awarded to the other team.
  2) Players may not kick the ball in the penalty areas or enter the areas at any time.  If this happens, a free-kick will be awarded to the other team.
  3) If the ball hits the back wall, a goal-kick is awarded (no corner kicks).
  4) If the ball hits the side wall, play continues.
  5) If the ball hits the curtain, play continues unless the referee decides that it is dangerous.  If this happens, there will be a dropped ball.
  6) If the ball goes under the curtain, the other team will get a kick-in.
  7) All free kicks are direct.  The opposing players must stand three metres from the kicker.  Kick-offs are not direct.
  8) Free kicks within three metres of the penalty area, will be moved back to three metres outside the penalty area.
  9) There will be one substitution opportunity roughly half-way through each match.  Both teams will have the opportunity to replace one, two or no players.  You will only have ten seconds to do this, so try to plan your changes before the game.  If a player is injured, you will be allowed to replace them.
