| S6.1 Models and teaches legal and ethical practice related to technology use. Prior to beginning this program, the issue of copyright was a small thought in the back of my mind. In EDUC 6662 Multimedia Tools copyright issues were addressed. Walden provided thorough information for us to learn from. As is expected of a Walden Scholar-Practitioner, we also learned to research on our own. I was surprised at the guidelines for copyright use. Due to my exposure to this information I am more diligent in the use of material. This is also discussed and modeled in the classroom. Previously I would use images without much thought to where they came from. I now make sure that my students and myself give credit where credit is due. I tend to use the images of MC Escher quite often. During the learning process of copyright use I sent for permission to use these in school. This permission was received and gave me a good insight into the simplicity of this course of action. |
