S5.4 Uses technology to communicate and collaborate with peers, parents, and the larger community in order to nurture student learning. I would like my website, Hens Coop, to be beneficial to the students, parents, community, and myself. In the development and improvement of Hens Coop, I incorporated the many comments and ideas that we as a class shared throughout this program. My classmates were a great source of information and our critiques of each others sites helped and inspired us all. I believe that anyone involved in the education of my students can visit my site and find something of interest and use. I also believe that my Web site is a vehicle by which students, parents, and I can communicate and stay abreast of classroom activities and needs. Parents and students will also be able to link many valuable resources such as, collegeboards.com, njpep.org, and various tutorials. My Web site will be a bridge to enable visitors quick links to points of importance to the students learning and future. Using Hen's Coop will fulfill Walden requirement S5.4. Along with the many beneficial sites for student and parent use, my Web site also has a link to a wonderful resource for professional development (educationworld.com). I visit and check my Web site and links often to assure that all links are active and still beneficial to the learner. Reviewing material at Education World will ensure that I continue my professional development and, as always, continue to be a lifelong learner. |
