Outcome S4.2 Uses technology resources to collect and analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings to improve instructional practice and maximize student learning.

The use of technology is changing the methods in which teachers can address the needs of their learners. The diverse learning needs of each individual are a constant concern of teachers. In the development of this CAR project I have been able to add to my repertoire of available resources to meet the needs of each student in the classroom. The Internet and technology have proved to be powerful resources in which to motivate and engage the students. In the development of this CAR, I have researched, adapted, utilized, reflected, and adjusted my teaching as a result of this project.  Dr. Sagor states that action research empowers teachers with more and improved effective methods of teaching (Sagor, 2000).Through the research and development of this research the Waldens Scholar practitioner has fulfilled many of the Standards requirements.
After the initial determination of the triangulation of data collection, decisions had to be made on the meanings of the findings. To accomplish this task, not only was much of the information tallied using technology, but also analyzed using available tools. Using these tools the teacher is able to use the data to improve their instruction. This focuses directly on Outcome S4.2 and best uses data collected to better student learning.
