JiMi HeNdRiX
Jimi was actually born with the name Johnny Allen Hendrix on November 27th 1942. In 1946 he officially became James Marshall Hendrix and his talent was discovered in the mid 60's by Chas Chandler(guitarist for 'The Animals') who became his manager. Jimi then formed 'The Experience' with Noel Redding on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums. They released their first single 'Hey Joe' on December 13th 1966 and then released their first album 'Are you experienced' in may of 1967. In 1969 'The experience' played their most well known performance as Hendrix played his version of Star Spangled Banner on stage at woodstock. Jimi died of a drug overdose September 18th 1970. Some say his death was the fault of his fan turned lover Deborah based on the belief that she had given him the drugs but hey, if we looked at it that way if a drunk driver crashes a car it's the car manufacturers fault. One week after Jimi's death she committed suicide supposedly because of the guilt she was experiencing.
