FoO FiGhTeRs!!!
Let's start at the beginning: As you probably know, Dave Grohl, the founder of The Foo Fighters, was the drummer for the legendary rock band Nirvana. After Kurt Cobain's death and the demise of Nirvana Grohl set out to make a new band. He sent demo tapes to a select few of himself playing the guitar and signed up three other members creating the Foo Fighters: Dave Grohl(Guitar/Vocals), William Goldsmith(Drummer), Nate Mendell(Bass) and Pat Smear(Guitar-touring guitarist for Nirvana).

In 1995, their debut self titled album was released and went platinum with singles such as 'I'll stick around' and 'This is a call'. In 1997, they began to make their second album 'The Colour and The Shape' but in the middle of making it Goldsmith quit the band, leaving poor Davie to return to being drummer, guitarist and vocals for most of the album.  Thankfully, Taylor Hawkins was adopted into the Foo Family and took Goldsmith's place as drummer.

The Colour and the Shape spawned singles such as "Monkey Wrench"(which Hawkins debuts in the film clip of), Everlong, and My hero! Unforunately, after touring for Colour and the Shape, The Foo gained another scar as Smear quit.

In 1999, Hawkins, Mendell and Adam Kasper(co-producer) all headed to Grohl's house for beer, bbq's and to create their next album in Grohl's studio. They kept their priorities in order and created an awesome album - There's nothing left to lose!

The Foo Fighters are a brilliant band with all its scars and bruises it's endured along the way, and I hope the boys keep it going as long as possible!
