The sound quality for Burning Desire kinda
blows for this RealAudio Clip.
The reason for this is:
- The source is tape. Which means I piped it into
my PC using my Sony Walkman's headphone jack... shaky quality at best.
- The original source tape was DAT, and copied
onto CrO2 tape (one of those gold XL-II Maxell's)
- The recording was a first-run production, so
it still needs to be levelled. This is why the bass sounds so loud and
the voices are a little soft. And the RealAudio Compression doesn't help
much either.
If anyone gets a chance to see BBC in concert
(they usually perform at the Casablanca, a niteclub/bar in Bethlehem, PA)
their sound is soooo much sweeter than this RealAudio stuff. C'mon
Mr. Lunn! Get
it on CD already!
