took the bike to the dmv yesterday, however they had issues with the out of state title.  went to the dmv express today they did not have any issues with the title, but i did not bring the bike with me.  it takes a longtime to charge one battery at time.  hopefully i'll get my charger back soon.  i'll try to get the bike down to the dmv express tomorrow. 

the bike seemed to do well it keep up with 40 mph traffic, but i had to use more trottle than i liked, and the motor was hot when i got it back so i'm sure i'm exeding contiuous amps for the motor.  hence i geared it down again to 35 mph top speed.  i'm disapointed with that since i will not be able to ride it work.  i could spend $1000 on new batteries and do a little rebuild on the bike and i might make it to work, but it seems like to much.  i'll just focus my efforts on my next bike and use this one as much as i can around town.
