| Having discussed this module with a few of you, it seemed a good idea to offer you a 'rough guide' to this module. I have tried to be as precise as possible, but you know me ... I do hope this is helpful to you ALL. What's it all about? Well, in this module we look at some of the issues that cause problems in society and the possible solutions that could bring about SOCIAL HARMONY. The main issues we look at are: GENDERISM and living in a MULTI-FAITH, MULTI-ETHNIC society At the heart of this module are the ideas that: we should all have a good quality of life we should treat each other with respect - sanctity of life we all have freewill and should decide for ourselves what solutions might work By the end of this module most students have agreed that: If people could only decide to behave properly, treat each other with respect and work together to put solutions in to action, we would live in a much happier society, where everyone care for and looked after each other. How they arrived at this conclusion, is what this module is all about! |
