about Oswald Leicht

Oswald Leicht, M. D., an established and successful physician and surgeon of Winona, was born in Fountain City, Wis., April 29, 1875, son of Joseph and Henrietta (Schmied) Leicht. He attended the public schools of Fountain City, Wis., and Winona, Minn., and graduated from the medical collage of the Northwestern University at Chicago in 1898. He then praticed his profession for a short time at Cleveland, Wis., after which he decided to perfect himself by taking special postgraduate courses abroad. In pursuance of this resolution he took special lectures on the eye, ear, and nose at the Royal University at Vienna, at the Salpetiere Hospital at Paris, and at Gray's Inn and the Royal London Ophthalmic Infirmary at London. Thus fully equipped along these special lines, he returned to America and took up practice of his profession at Winona in 1901. Since that date he has received a large and constantly increasing patronage. Being thoroughly ethical in his ideals, he allied himself with the American, the Minnasota State, and the Winona County medicial associations, and is now serving as president of the latter organization. He has been honored by the appointment as a member of the State Board of Medical Examiners. He is a member of the Arlington Club and the Winona Association of Commerce. Oswald was Married, March 27, 1901, to Margaret Gardner, and their home has been blessed with three children : Robert, Joseph, and Edward.
