MODIFIED FUZZY GAIN SCHEDULING OF PID CONTROLLERS (B.Tech)

The best known controllers used in industrial process are PID controllers, because of their simple structure and robust performance. However a major drawback of these controllers is that, there is variation of controller parameters with operating conditions. The main cause of this is, system nonlinearities. Knowing such nonlinearities, it is possible to change the parameters of the controller by monitoring the operating conditions of the process. This idea is called Gain Scheduling. In this project, a rule based scheme for gain scheduling for PID controller was proposed. The proposed scheme was simulated and also implemented in real time.click here to download

A FUZZY EXPERT SYSTEM DESIGN FOR DIAGNOSIS OF PROSTATE CANCER (M.Tech mini project)

It is not quite possible to diagnose of prostate cancer fully based on only ultrasonography and image processing. We have developed a rule-based fuzzy expert system (FES) that uses the laboratory and other data and simulates an expert-doctor�s behavior. For this reason the biopsy method is undesirable for early diagnosis. For this purpose we have used the following parameters viz. , prostatic fraction of acid phosphatase (PAP), Total acid phosphatase (TAP), prostate volume (PV), & echo texture of the prostate. Using this data and help from an expert-doctor, the fuzzy rules to determine the necessity of biopsy and the risk factor was developed. A FUZZY EXPERT SYSTEM DESIGN FOR ANALYSIS OF SOUNDS PRODUCED BY HUMAN BODY AND DESIGN OF A UNIQUE ELECTRONIC STETHOSCOPE

Human body produces different kinds of sounds with different characters. Several organs produce sounds, which are unique to their structure and function. The characters of these sounds vary in health and disease. Different kinds of sounds denote different disease states. In these study we have made attempt to detect these sounds by an electronic device (developed indigenously) and analyze them for the benefit of the doctors. We have developed a fuzzy expert system, which are specific for sounds produced by different organs in different diseased states. We have taken sounds produced by heart, lungs and intestine for creating the fuzzy expert system.click here to download
