Description
A day of rafting will teach you some basic techniques, show you some nice scenery near Cusco, and give you a wet, thrilling ride.
Itinerary
We leave at 9:00 am from Cusco. We will raft for about two and a half hours, returning around 6pm if the rafting site is a bit of a drive away.
Ollantaytambo is the most downstream site. It has class II and III rapids and a few large rocks that create one slide. Huambutio is the calmest site, where we take school groups. It has class II and III rapids.
Included
Lunch, helmet, life vest, spray jacket, boat and paddle.
Wetsuits may be a good idea if it is cold out or we ascend to elevation. During the rainy season, generally, we use wet suits. These cost ten additional soles.
You shoud bring
sandals, shorts, a strap for sunglasses so they don´t fall off, plenty of warm clothes to put on afterwards.
