Day 3 Macaw clay lick "Collpa"
We will wake up early (4:00am) hot drink and leave for the "Collpa". We will travel up the Tambopata river for two, to arrive to observe from a safe distance one of the greatest spectacles of wildlife: hundreds of parrots and macaws of various species, enjoying their diet of mineral salts on the clay wall. It is an experience that never will be forgotten. you will make a stop on the river bank to have a fruit snack and we will return to the lodge to have breakfast and rest. After lunch we will enter the verdant jungle on a special trail to observe wild life. We will then enter the territory of peccaries, deer, and others, with the possibility to hear or see the tracks of them, or discovering a troop of monkeys travelling through the forest in search of food. Time permitting, you will be able to return to enjoy a relaxing swim in the cascade of the cat. After dinner you can make another trip through the jungle, search for caimans or relax in our lodge surrounded by exotic nocturnal sounds. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
Day 4 Lake Sandoval
After breakfast you will make a trip in boat to the WASAI Maldonado Lodge, in Puerto Maldonado where you will relax in our bungalows and enjoy a tasty lunch. After lunch we will leave and travel for twenty minutes on the Madre de Dios River, to the access trail to Lake Sandoval, a beautiful typical rainforest lake. 5 km hike to the banks of the lake. There we will board a canoe to paddle around the lake enjoying the beauty of the landscape and observing the wildlife, such as kingfishers, herons, hoatzins (unique pre historic looking birds) , monkeys, etc. If we are lucky we could see the family of giant otters which live at the lake. We will have the opportunity to fish piranhas and swim in the lake. Prepare yourself for a spectacular sunset. It is time to begin our return hike to the Madre de Dios River to return to Puerto Maldonado. There we will stay in the modern and comfortable bungalows of WASAI Maldonado Lodge. After dinner we will be able to rest or go around the city on foot or on bicycle. We can enjoy the pool and its cascade surrounded by verdant vegetation. Rest of the night free to enjoy the night life of this welcoming city. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
DAY 5 PUERTO MALDONADO CUSCO
After an early breakfast we will return to Puerto Maldonado for our flight to Cusco (included), upon arrival reception and transfer to your Hotel (tourist class hotel based on double occupancy. In the afternoon :Cusco City Tour From 2pm. to 6.30pm .This tour includes the Qoricancha (temple of the sun) and the Cathedral . The tour drives along the Circunvalacion Road up to famous fortress of Sacsahuaman , Q'enqo , Puca Pucara and Tambomachay Including Spanish and English speaking guide. Include Tourist ticket valid for the entrance to many museums and ruins as well. (i.e., including outside of the City itself) ( Breakfast )
DAY 6 SACRED VALLEY TOUR
Breakfast .Hr. 9 am excursion to Sacred Valley of Incas .Services included: Bus service to the market of Pisaq , Calca , Urubamba , Ruins of Ollantaytambo , and the Chinchero's market. English and Spanish speaking guide. Buffet Lunch in a typical restaurant in Urubamba. Return to Cusco at 6,30 PM Lodging at your Hotel (Breakfast, buffet Lunch)
DAY 7 MACHUPICCHU
Breakfast.Hr.5,30 am departure to Machupicchu . Services included : Transfer from hotel to railway station, round trip Train ticket Cusco/Agua Calientes/Cusco, bus service to ruins and back , Buffet lunch ,complete Ruin's tour with an English and Spanish speaking guide. The train leaving at 3:00 pm., arriving at Cusco at 6:45 pm. ( Breakfast, Buffet lunch)
DAY 8 CUSCO PUNO
Breakfast. Transfer to the train or bus station. Ten hour train or bus ride to Puno , across the scenic high Andes landscapes only dotted by small villages and herds of the llamas and vicuñas. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel, (if you choose the bus the is included visits to 3 archaeological places in the road and the buffet lunch, the road is paved)
DAY 9 UROS AND TAQUILE ISLANDS
You will be picked up from your hotel 7,30 AM, after 2 and half hours motorboat you will arrive at the Uros island. Fishermen and hunters inhabit the floating islands of the Uros. The residents of the Uros use the cattail, a type of rush, which grows in the lake, to create the conditions that ensure the islands stay afloat. The dense roots that the plants develop support the island.The roofs are waterproof and the houses are extremely humid because of the surrounding water. At present they speak Quechua and Aymara. Then we will visit the Taquile island , including lunch in the co-operative restaurant, there is also a co-operative shop on the plaza that sells exceptional woolen goods which are not cheap but of very fine quality. Taquile Island is famous for its craft production, particularly for its beautiful textiles. The island is narrow only about 1 KM wide , but 6 to 7 KM long, on Taquile there are numerous pre-Inca and Inca ruins and Inca terracing . You will return in Puno in the afternoon, overnight your hotel (Breakfast,Lunch)
DAY 10 CHUCUITO AND SILLUSTANI:
Breakfast, at 9:30 am we will going to visit the Chucuito town to enjoy the colonial style of this very nice village all the entrance is included, then we will going to come back to Puno at 12:00 to take the lunch (not included), then in the afternoon at 2:30 tour to the SILLUSTANI RUINS, near Puno are the chullpas /pre-colombian funeral towers ) of Sillustani. The scenery is desert but impressive in a beautiful setting on a peninsula on lake Ayumara about 32 KM. From Puno. Most of the towers date from the period of Inka occupation in the 15th century, the ingeniering involved in their construction is more complex then anything the inkas built. Trasfer to your hotel.
DAY 11 PUNO LIMA
breakfast, morning at leasure in Puno for you and in the afternoon transfer the airport where we'll take the flight back to Lima (AIRFARE INCLUDED), end of our services.
