Itinerary Beautifull place located in the canyon of Apurimac, Where we canto apreciate the majestic snow mountains in the Sakcantay (Inkas god) DAY 1: pickup from your hotel in Cuzco and transfer to Cachora . Possibly visit of the archaeological site of Sahuite. Here you start the trail, already near the Apurimac canyon. It's only walking down until the bridge that crosses the Apurimac, but the descend is about 1600m! The camp is near the bridge, called Playa Rosalina, or 1 hour before in Chikisqa. (include lunch and dinner) DAY 2: After Breakfast, from the camp, after crossing the bridge, you have to climb all your way to the ruins, the first 3 hours being very steep! But the views are spectaculous! Deep down is the canyon and there can be condors around. You enter the ruins late in the afternoon. (breakfast, lunch and dinner) DAY 3 : After Breakfast, take your time to visit the place! Choquequirao was an important Inca site! It is the remotest of the major sites on a ridge spur almost 1800m above the Apurimac river. It is suggested to have been the place where the last Inca Tupac Amaru was raised among Inca priestesses (Gary Ziegler). An other suggestion is that it was built as a 'royal estate' for Topa Inca, son of Pachacutec (Vincent Lee).(breakfast, lunch and dinner) DAY 4 : walk into the Apurimac valley, you can have a ´caña´ in Santa Rosa, cross the Apurimac river. You can have a swim here… Camp here or 1 hour up in Chikisqa. (breakfast, lunch and dinner) DAY 5 : It takes about 6 - 7 hours to reach the village of Cachora and there is an other pass to cross, so a lot of climbing to do here we will goin to take a bus to come back to Cusco (breakfast)
