Honestly, I don't think a protest at city hall would have any impact. What Gerald Tremblay is trying to do will effect the Park Avenue community on a personal level. This will effect thousands of people and change the landscape of the city. Standing in front of City Hall with some protest posters will not do justice for this cause. Gerlad Tremblay's decision will effect us personally, so we should personally demonstrate in front of his house.
Moreover, many city councilors seem to be saying that they were not aware of the name change. It would almost seem that Gerald Tremblay has decided on the name change by himself; he certainly has not discussed anything with the public. So in this case, it almost doesn't even seem to involve City Hall, but rather a protest against Gerald Tremblay's personal decision to change the name. So we will protest at his house. |
