Help Our Family, Please!
Hi.  My family and I are so glad to have you visit our site.  You see, one year ago I was diagnose with Multiple Sclerosis.  As you can research, MS is not always a debilitating disease.  However, it can spring a "flare" at any time without any notice.

My family and I were doing quite well two years ago.  We both had working vehicles, our children were doing great in school, and we were all healthy.  Our insurance through our work seemed to do the trick.

We thought we were doing so well, that we bought our dream home.  Nothing fancy, a farm house in town built in 1925.

Last Valentine's Day, my world turned upside down.  My husband and I stayed at a nice hotel with a hot tub.  Bad idea for someone with Multiple Sclerosis - even if you don't realize it.  I got very tired, and weak.  Made it back up to my room, and slept til we had to go home.  Over the next few weeks, I lost my handwriting.  I was dizzy all the time.  I would get very bad headaches.  The doctors kept sending me to another doctor.  Finally, I had an MRI done.

I still remember the doctor calling me that day.  I was sitting in the middle of a resturant eating lunch with my family.  The words from the neurologist brought tears to my eyes.  I had a demyelineating disease, probably MS.  I went to more appointments with the Neurologist and they confirmed my diagnosis.

I started injections in May, and a drug called Provigil in June.  I also take Meclazine for dizziness, and Lexapro daily.  Although my insurance helps, it can only do so much with all of my prescriptions.  The injections are roughly $1,000 a month, the Provigil is $6 a pill. It amazes me how quickly a paycheck is used just by refilling my prescriptions.

My husband is a sales vendor, and I am a secretary.  Our salaries just can't keep up with everything.  Then, to make matters worse, another 'flare started recently.  It has affected my eyesight this time, as well as my joints in my hips.  I can not work as much as I used to.  I am scared that I may not be able to work much longer. We have medical bills out the wazhoo right now.

My husband works so hard.  We never seem to spend time with him any longer.  He is always doing what he can to bring more money home.  However, it just doesn't seem to cover all of the bills.

My children and I are begging of you to help our family.  We are praying for a miracle, so that we can keep our home and our insurance, as well as my medications.  I honestly, don't know what I would do without them.  It's amazing how dependant you get to be just to be able to walk and to work.  I know it is one of the things most people take for granted.  I used to...

If you feel in your heart, that you can help our family.  Please send what you can, no amount is too small.  We thank you and bless you for your generosity.  You may send all of your donations to:
