Ideas on Ways to Help Veterans in Ohio with College Education
-An additional state tax break in Ohio's Tax Code for those Ohio Active Duty Veterans attending an Ohio public unversity or college.
-Create a state grant for Veterans who attend an Ohio public university or college that is an award amount between $200-$1,000.
-State wavier for veterans who attend an Ohio public university or college in which they will get a % off their tuition at the particular state institution.
-Create a state funded need base scholarship that through application process or board of regents that offers assistance to Ohio Active Duty Veterans who have exhausted all their federal GI Bill for school at a public university or college.
-A state of Ohio GI Bill which helps all of Ohio's Military Veterans (National Guard, Reserve, and Active Duty). A smaller scale state version of the Montgomery GI Bill. In which this program would replace the current 100% Ohio National Guard Member tuition program. In an Ohio GI Bill all of Ohio's Armed Forces Members would have an opportunity for entitlement of this benefit if they so choose to seek assistance with funding their college education.
