Pool at School

“Help! Somebody save me!” This is what you’d say if your boat tipped over and you didn’t know how to swim. You would be stranded in the middle of frigid water, left there to drown. If something like this did happen, it would be a terrible tragedy. This is why everybody should know how to swim. Therefore, to prevent a cataclysmic event such as this from happening, (ur school here) should get a pool for health, and safety, and so we could have a swim team.

The first reason is that swimming is a healthy exercise. Unlike running, swimming doesn’t stress your muscles, which makes it better for your body. By holding your breath, your lungs get stronger and expand. Also, anything active is good for you and will keep you in shape.

Swim teams would be another reason (ur school here) should get a pool. It would make another after school sport, or for sixth graders, a fun intramural. There could also be diving competitions. These events would add to our school spirit. The swim team would help you acquire team skills, and if you were good enough, you might even get a scholarship to college!

The last reason is that swimming could save your life. Having a pool at (ur school here) could be a big help to those who don’t yet know how to swim. There could be lessons in gym class, or (ur school here) could even offer private lessons. The main thing, though, is that swimming is an essential life skill and it is important to know how to swim for safety.

Now that you have been educated about the many positive attributes a pool would give (ur school here), I hope that you agree with me that it would be a wonderful addition. It would bring astounding benefits to the (ur school here) atmosphere, but most importantly, would give the students a chance to learn and practice a fundamental life skill. If we had a pool, I ensure you that (ur school here) students would be kept healthy, safe, and spirited.
