The Naked Truth
The Naked Truth

Hagar, "I saw him who sees me..."
Samaritan women, "He told me everything I did..."

His penetrating gaze and powerful presence
Saw right through into her spirit essence
She felt strangely naked before him
And yet loved at the same time
She knew then that he knew, saw the hidden

His words burrowing through her
Exposing her innermost cells, even atoms
Before him she became a mist, transparent

With nowhere to hide, no enclave
No mask to wear, no cover or shade
She was naked before his light's truth
Her shame too visible, her infamy clear

Yet she hadn't felt this free and loved
Didn't he know who she was?
Wasn't she guilty of sin too gross?

Before then, her beauty drew lots of men
But such a constant love she hadn't known or seen
And mercy gentle, It made her give up one and all
And made her decree, him only to pursue and see
To love eternally, him whose truth had made her free
