HELMUT LOTTI MEETS FRANKENSTEIN
It was a dark and stormy, full-moon night...
Helmut Lotti and his wife, Carol, wanted to do something special to celebrate Halloween. Helmut had suggested that perhaps they take a stroll through a spooky graveyard, but Carol wanted to do something more adventurous and more exciting.
"Let's visit the house of Frankenstein, Helmut!" said Carol, a twinkle in her eyes. "It would be alot of fun!"
Helmut looked at her as if she was silly, but he agreed to it and together they joined a tour group for a visit to the towering castle that was called...
The House Of Frankenstein!
"Look at this place!" Carol said in total amazement. "Isn't it scary?" She clung to Helmut, her body beginning to tremble.
"This place doesn't scare me", Helmut said, quite confident. "Frankenstein isn't real, so there's nothing to fear", he smiled mischievously.
As they walked along, Helmut somehow got separated from the tour group and found himself alone wandering down a long, dark hallway somewhere in the castle. He looked around trying to find his way back to the group, unaware that he was being watched all the while...
He made his way down a narrow stairway and into a cold and damp room. Somehow he sensed that he was not alone. Was he being followed?
Suddenly a streak of lightening lit up the sky outside and through the window of that small room, he could see a tall figure gaping in at him!! Was it just a figment of his imagination or was it reality???
Helmut knew that he must find his way back to Carol and the tour group...IMMEDIATELY!
With his heart racing, Helmut ran and ran and ran and ran through the dark, unsure of the direction he was headed.........until atlast he found himself face to face with....
FRANKENSTEIN!!
Helmut looked up at this monster!!
What should he do???
What should he say???
He had to think fast...Frankenstein was becoming furious!!
Finally, Helmut broke out in song!
He sang the tender "You've Got A Friend" and immediately the monster began to calm down. Helmut's golden voice could even melt the heart of Frankenstein!! It was incredible!
Frankenstein had calmed down long enough so that Helmut could escape!
When Helmut finally found his way back to Carol and the tour group, he wondered how he could ever explain to Carol what had happened to him. Would she believe him???
As they walked out of the castle and down the steps, Helmut told her about everything that had happened.
"But, Helmut", Carol teased, "You said it yourself that Frankenstein isn't real, remember?" She smiled.
Helmut looked at her surprised. "I was very much mistaken!"
Together they shared a laugh and walked through the outer gate, leaving behind an adventure that Helmut would never forget...ever!
