When and How First Discovered Helmut Lotti:
" It was on PBS in 1997. I immediately starting buying his Classics tapes. It wasn't until September, 2005, that I discovered the Official Helmut Lotti website, and learned that he was going to be in Canada. not all that far from Wisconsin. I asked a good friend, Ronni, who also liked his music, if she would be interested in flying to Canada to see a concert. Her answer was "yes" and the rest is history. Here is my description of our first Helmut Lotti concert:

I knew I loved Helmut's music, but I had no idea what an exciting showman he was. He brought his own orchestra complete with his backup singers. He wore a tux. He thrilled us with everything from Love Me Tender to Jailhouse Rock. He sang fluently in English, French, Russian, Spanish.... He owned the stage, and he melted our hearts and made us rock - yes, we clapped at every recognized song, we whistled, and we yelled for more. And he gave us more and more. It was a performance of a lifetime, and one that I will never forget. If I get the chance, I will travel to Europe to see him again."
