It seems like the a perfect day for a winter daydream story and a sleigh ride....
A SLEIGH RIDE TOGETHER WITH HELMUT
It is Saturday evening and you have the house to yourself. You have nothing special planned, so you just decide to sit back with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate and relax. Just as you get comfortable in your favorite chair, you hear a sudden "knock, knock, knock" at your front door.
"Who could it be?" you wonder. "I wasn't expecting any visitors this evening." You hurry over to open the door and find a young man with blue, sparkling eyes and a tender smile standing there....it is Helmut Lotti!!
What a thrilling and exciting surprise!
While you are standing there staring at Helmut in amazement, he leans over and places three soft kisses on your glowing cheeks. Your knees suddenly get weak and your heart skips a beat! Wow! Could this be just a dream or is it reality? Finding yourself nearly speechless, all you can seem to utter is "Oh my!" "I would be honoured if you would join me this evening for a moonlit sleigh ride for two." Helmut says in a voice so inviting.
You can hardly believe your ears!!
What a wonderful invitation!
"Oh yes!" you reply anxiously, "I would love to!"
After helping you on with your winter coat, Helmut extends his hand and escorts you over to the sleigh which awaits.
As you get settled into the sleigh next to Helmut, you give a content little sigh. You can't imagine a more perfect way of spending your Saturday evening!
"Giddup", Helmut says to the horse, and then with a snap of the reigns, off you both go, dashing through the snow in a one-horse-open-sleigh.
Through picturesque valleys, over snow-covered hills and into a quaint little village you go, with Helmut singing Russian songs all the way.
As the sleigh makes its way through a brightly lit and lively little town, you smile to yourself, as you see people along the roadside stop to look at Helmut and listen to his voice so clear and golden singing "Lutshje Bulo", "Dorogoj Dlinnoju", "Two Guitars", "Kalinka" and "Dream Away"....
Now and then, you both find time to talk about your families, Helmut's trip to Russia and all of the wonderful people on the MB.
With the moon shining down upon you, the sleigh ride comes to an end. Your home is around the next corner and you begin to feel sad that this magical evening is over.
Helmut glides the sleigh to a stop in front of your home and walks you over to your front door....the place where it all started. Helmut gladly accepts the big mug of hot chocolate that you offer him as a "thank you" for the memorable sleigh ride.
"I'm afraid that I must be on my way now, as there are many other fans for me to visit this evening", Helmut says. "Thank you for joining me...I truly enjoyed your company."
"I will never forget this sleigh ride", you say with appreciation. "Goodbye and please send my regards to Carol".
But, before Helmut gets back into the sleigh, he stops and turns toward you. With a broad smile, he sings "Laras Theme"....and replaces the name "Lara" with your name. You are delighted by this! How very sweet of him!! What a wonderful end to this evening.
You give a wave and then hurry into the warmth of your home and watch through the window as Helmut's sleigh drives away into the night.
Wowwww! What a wonderful winter Lotti-daydream!
So, be prepared.....if you should hear a "knock, knock, knock" at YOUR front door tonight....it could be Helmut!!!
