Graphics- 9.3/10- The graphics in this game are extremely well done. The games outstanding graphics were one of the most amazing features in the game. Everything from the breathtaking landscapes, to the gigantic bosses was amazing and filled with detail. The only drawback with the graphics was that sometimes (though very rarely), there would be a slight drop in the frame-rate. But overall, the graphics were outstanding.
Gameplay/Fun- 9.7/10- This game has one of the most unique types of gameplay ever! It takes RPGs to the next level, with it's action/rpg style of gameplay. The gameplay was based on you going through levels, collecting artifacts to raise your stats, which generally makes your character more powerful. Another great addition to this game was it's unique multi-player adventure, where you and up to 3 friends can play at the same time in a co-operative style of gameplay. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles really excels in it's gameplay and fun.
Story- 10/10- This game has one of the most compelling, breathtaking stories that I have ever gotten the privledge of seeing. You assume the role of a carivan from a town called Tipa, and you must collect drops of myrrh in order to keep a deadly and mysterious fog (called "miasma") at bay in your town. You must collect 3 or these drops of myrrh each year in order for your city to survive. What is causing this miasma to devour the land? And, how did it get there? Well, that's for you and your caravan to discover.
Music- 11/10- The music in the game is perfect! No wait, it's better than perfect! It's outstanding!!! The opening scene is especially amazing, with a song that makes the intro perfect! Everything from the steady rythems in the levels, to the cheerful year-end tune is absolutly incredible, and it could not be improved in any way possible. The music and sound is definatly the best thing about this game!
Overall (NOT AN AVERAGE)- 9.9/10- Well, what can I say? This is an amazing game! It is just about perfect, and is a must have for gamecube! Once you get this game, you won't stop playing it for a long time! And with the game's connectivity features, you can play with up to 3 of your friends! This truly is one of the best games of all time!
