(San Francisco)
This is the homepage of mixer DS2 (HelluvaPhatSounds & Digital Sounds of San Francisco) Links are provided below to a few past mix projects. DS2's mixing and choice of music varies widely from Trance, EuroDance, House, and to Hip Hop. I mix whatever I feel sounds good at the time and what I think people want to hear. I tried mixing rare songs before and trying to "discover" new songs, but found that it was hard for the mass to accept what the radio was not playing. So I gave in and now mix a cross between music I feel are hits and music that are already hits. My mixes capture a moment in time for me and I know that they will eventually get played out. But I hope that for those of you who have found your way here to this web space that you really enjoy my mixes and you came looking for more. Please leave me feedback via e-mail, I'll appreciate all kinds of feed back both positive and negative about my work.

Meow Mix Vol. 1
Still got nothing to listen to... this mix IS made by me. This one is a pretty
big change from the typical music I usually listen to, but I think its sounds
good... a change from the usual stuff. Discovered the cowbell and I think its
tight! Favorite track is the Somebody Told Me remix. This mix is short as I
didn't have much songs to use and I did not edit and compress any songs at all,
so they are all virtually full length.

B-Series Vol. 2
I got nothing to listen to now, this is a mix not made by me. I just recompiled
a couple of different mixes to spliced them together. I've always liked some
parts of some mixes and not really care for the rest. So here I try to dump
bits and pieces of other people's mixes into something I like a little better.

ClubHouse Series Vol. 3
Yet another mix, because you remember I said the last mix would be My
Last Mix. I dont know if you are going to read everything below
so Ill say this first. There are only two reasons I make these mixes:
1. I got nothing to listen to now.
2. I want people to hear the mixes I make and let me know what they think.
So with that, I would like for you the listener to make the mix available to your friends and family (Make them a copy). You can spend a few minutes to burn a CDR or ask someone to do it for you. It only takes a few minutes of your time, remember I spent a month to make this.
Special thanks goes to the Wild Mixers for the Powermix intro, DJ Raphael Gomes for the Hip Hop Mega Mix, Rhythm in Motion for the scratch sequence, and Helluvafast Forum members andyl8u (Andy), ShermStyle (Sherman), and most of all to djcrs1 (DJ C. Fernandez [KIL]) for providing the sounds.
The mix is mostly Hip-Hop, with a little bit of techno/trance in the beginning. Total time spent mixing the session off and on was 1 month. The mix started with Sandstorm as an experiment to see if I can do something I wanted to try. So the mix started at the Sandstorm mix out and the rest of the mix was mixed outwards from that point to complete a full hour mix.
Remember, I like to take criticism off all kinds but keep in mind I ran out stuff to listen to and the mix was made with no intentions for resale, demo, or promotional use. Its just simply something to listen to, so it contains a lot of old song and few new ones (Hitz from 1962-2003).
June. 2, 2003
2003 DanceLab Mix is the lastest mix and was completed on June. 2, 2003. It
is the follow up dance mix to the 2002 DanceLab Mix. Comprised of songs that
might be old and lesser played rareremixes. I think it was hard to follow the
2002 DLM CD, the selections of the mix took a lot more time to compile. However
I think if you enjoyed that mix, than you will enjoy this one too; especially
if you are running out of new stuff to listen to.

Uploaded a mp3 remix of Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle". This is
just something I did for fun after I saw the video on MTV tonight. The remix
is dubbed, Jimmy Eats Crystal Method - "The Middle Child". It is a
short and simple remix if you will. This clip is no longer available for download
preview.

Uploaded a mp3 of the mix for this page background, named "Experiment_Mix_2003_(DS2_Club_Mix)".
This is clip is a mix and isn't, I started but don't know if I have time to
finish it or if there even is a audience for it. I'll look in to completing
this mix depending on the amount of requests I receive for its completion. This
clip is also no longer available for download
preview. The mix was completed into a full CD and is part of the 2003 DanceLab
Mix.

Just completed a single Bass Remix of Alfredo Casero - Shimauta,
this is also no longer available for download previewing. Look for it on the
web with P2P software, you might actually find it =D
Nov. 8, 2002
The lastest mix completed Nov. 8, 2002 is a dance mix comprised of pure Korean
dance songs. Also within the mix are DanceLab Breakbeat Bass remixes performed
by DS2. The mix was made in response to a request made by a friend, this was
also DS2's first attempt on a CD to completely remix a song with a new beat.
To listen obtain a CD of the mix e-mail me.
