--- This is the Hellsing organization, unofficial and little known branch of the Anglican Church dedicated to irradicating undead monsters, but also handles other threats. Namely, the Millenium Group and its "chipped" vampires. Luke and Jan Valentine are examples of these vampires created by implanting a micro chip in an otherwise normal person.
--- Hellsing is led by Sir Integra Fairbrook Windgates Hellsing, who inherited the position from her Father. She takes no bullshit from anyone, least of all her star hunter and servant, Alucard the vampire. Walter Dolneaz is constantly by her side, shunting information to and fro, keeping the tea warm, arming Hellsing operatives and providing home security when necessary, using a series of fine steel wires laced around his fingers like a cat's cradle (though he retired from active field duty for Hellsing decades ago). Alucard has been with the Hellsing family (and organization) for roughly 150 years. Integra discovered him when her Uncle, biter about her deceased Father naming her head of the Family, tried to kill her to claim the title himself.
--- Alucard served alongside Walter during WWII, trying to defeat the Nazis (ressurected as the Millenium Group). After the failed coup of Integra's uncle, Alucard swore fealty to Integra. In 2001, Alucard was responding to a vampire case in Cheddar, England, and wound up embracing Victoria Seras, after shooting through her to kill the vampire.
--- Alucard is frequently at odds with Iscariot's ace on the hole, Paladin Alexander Anderson. The main reason why Hellsing and Iscariot butt heads is because Iscariot can't stand the fact that Hellsing is employing two vampires... besides, they're not even Catholic. Hellsing has always been a bit less fanatical than Iscariot, but then again, look at the Catholic Church's sordid history...
