The Loki Family... |
The Loki Family Satanic Community was founded in the year 2007, and consists of several Divisions and Subdivisions, or "Branches", dedicated to providing a safe, judgement free society where American Satanists can practice our religion in it's many forms and aspects, free of guilt, fear or persecution, and where Satanists of any denomination can find like minds in the form of supportive, proactive people interested in the advancement of Satanism and the Left Hand Path, and creating a safe community for people like us. The Loki Family (pronounced Loh-Kai) is not a gang or a cult, so anyone looking for one of those must look elsewhere. We do not support or accept bloody ritual sacrifice, prostitution, illegal drug use, and espescially violent/hate crimes. The Loki Family is a "Non-Denominational Satanist" group, which means that we accept any Satanist of good, honest character into our organization. As was mentioned before, there are several Branches to each Division, and there is one Division to each State. The Branches of The Loki Family's Divisons are: |
The High Council - Making all major decisions for every Division of The Family, interviewing potential members before their inductions, and coming up with any rules, regulations and codes of conduct which any Branch in The Family must abide by, essentially the buck stops here. The Loki High Council consists of three men and three women, all of age to be considered adults in modern society. |

Soldier - Soldier is a sort of "Satanic Good-Samaritan" Branch, whose members make it their business to defend the community both within and without The Loki Family in a law-abiding though physically involved way. This Branch was founded so that not only would our Satanic brothers and sisters be able to feel safe about the idea of being openly Satanist, but the streets of America's towns and cities would be safer in general. Soldier operates on a "See something, do something" basis. In other words, if a member of Soldier witnesses a violent crime in progress, he or she is encouraged to resolve the situation in whatever legal way he or she chooses. If one of our Soldiers is made aware of a violent crime, but is not on the scene as it happens, it is the duty of that Soldier to report the situation to a legal authority, and encourage the victim(s) to seek legal and/or psychological counsel on the subject. |

The Grotto - The Grotto, or "Ritual Branch" was founded for those members of The Loki Family interested in the practice of Satanic Ritual and Ceremony, and is named with the traditional word meaning a group of three or more Satanists working together in ritual/ceremonial situations, practicing rituals other than the Hermetic Rituals. This Branch does not use ritual slaughter or mutilation in any way, as there are better ways to reach the goals one would set out to accomplish with Ritual and Magick of any kind. Since The Loki Family is Non-Denominational, our Grottos employ rituals from The Satanic Bible and The Codex Searus (or "Black Book of Satanism"), as well as rituals from Spiritual Satanism, and other denominations. |
The Mentors - This is a group of people the Loki High Council has deemed to be experts in at least one Denomination of Satanism. Their purpose is to teach those who are new or otherwise want/need to learn more within the Family. Since they are "Armed with the Truth" so to speak, they are also employed as educators in the community, to any who want to learn more about who we are and what we do. |
The Messengers - There are three Loki Family Messengers in each Division, and they are responsible for spreading any messages which cannot be sent online. Should there be an internet blackout, or should there be a member of The Family without a computer or internet connection, The Loki Family Messengers take action. These are generally three people who the Division Administrator deems trustworthy, reliable, fit and hardworking enough to handle such tasks. |
The Treasury - The Treasurer of each Division deals with the group's finances, and under the direction of the Division Administrator, makes all decisions involving money for their Division. |
