7. Background: Max Evans was discovered in the desert as a child walking with his sister Isabel. They were alone and completely naked. The family that found them...the Evans...loved them on sight. They brought Max and Isabel home and made them part of their family. They loved the two children as their own and never worried that much about how exactly those two children had ended up in the desert alone with no clothes.
Isabel
and Max did wonder. They wondered and they remembered bits and pieces. Then
their world turned upside down when they realized they would NEVER be like
everyone else. They were different. Like Max healed a bird that had broken
its wing. Like Isabel would think about someone, go to sleep, and end up in
that person's dream. Like they could both change things that they logically
shouldn't be able to change. They were just...different.
It didn't take all that long for Max and Isabel to decide that they were aliens. They were...after all...living in Roswell, New Mexico. It wasn't that long of a jump.
When Max and Isabel started school they also met another person like them. They met Michael. He had a completely different life then they did. He didn't have a loving family. He had an abusive foster dad who loved alcohol more than Michael. He was completely different from Max and Isabel...and yet...he was the same. They all knew they were aliens and they all sensed they were alike. It was a bond that formed and grew stronger than any they had in their lives.
Max
also met someone else when he started school. He met Liz Parker. He was never
really close to her...they weren't really friends...but Max fell instantly
in love with her. It was at first sight and it never wavered. That's why when
he was sixteen Max risked all their secret to save Liz's life. He simply couldn't
let her die.
Liz was shot before Max's eyes and he really had no choice. He acted on instinct. He brought Liz back. That action bonded Max to Liz. He saw inside of her and he connected them to the core. They were soulmates. Max asked Liz not to tell anyone what he'd done and hoped she wouldn't push but that wasn't meant to be. The boy had saved Liz's life. She fell in love with him and she wouldn't stop until she understood what was going on...how all this could happen in so short a time.
It
didn't take long for Liz and her friends Maria and Alex to be in on the big
secret and working to conceal it from everyone else. Then things were just
a whirlwind. Max and Liz were the perfect couple and madly in love. Michael
actually fell for Liz's quirky friend Maria, and Isabel even started falling
for the slightly geeky Alex. Life was just close to perfect...if you didn't
count the constant threats of danger their secret caused.
That's when Tess happened...the fourth alien...Max's wife from the past life...the person who changed everything. Liz was determined to let Max live out his destiny and she pushed him away. Then she went so far as to make Max think that she had slept with Kyle. Max was devastated. In the end, Max gave up and turned to Tess. He started to focus on their old life and tried to regain his love for Tess. He even...*gulp*...slept with her. Tess turned up pregnant! Max found out Liz hadn't slept with Kyle! The aliens found a way home! Max found out an alien had killed Alex! Liz figured out that Tess was that alien! The Granolith was fixing to head for home! Then...
Where the hell did he just wake up? What was going on? Who were these idiots that thought they could control him?

Personality: Max is noble to his core...or at least he used to be. Max has
fallen in the eyes of just about everyone by the fact that he slept with Tess.
Even worse...he has to live with what he did and the fact that Tess is carrying
his child. He is naturally prone to brooding and deep contemplation...now
he gets to add a whole butt-load of guilt. Max is not currently a happy guy.
He is, however, determined to win back Liz's love. She is his soulmate, the
woman he has loved forever, and he won't lose her again. That, and figuring
out what to do about their new situation, are Max's biggest concerns at the
moment.
9. Friends: Liz, Maria, Isabel, Michael, Kyle, Sheriff Valenti, and used to be Alex before Tess killed him. He also considered Tess as at least his friend before he found out about her true nature. Max doesn't trust easily or make friends easily for obvious reasons. He also doesn't want to endanger anyone by letting them into his world. He feels responsible for those around him, he is the King afterall, and he doesn't want to add any more people to that group. He has enough responsibility as it is. This hope and theory are probably fixing to get shot to hell, but..oh well!

Love Life: One Word...one syllable...Liz. She is and always will be the only
love of Max Evan's life. He can't even believe that in his past life he loved
and married Tess. Look what she turned out to be! Max has a long hard road
ahead of him to win back Liz's love but he won't give up...EVER! Liz is the
only thing worth fighting for. She is his world.
11. Need to Know: Max's powers are healing, throwing up a shield, and the ability to manipulate molecular structure. He also has some problems ahead with the fact that Tess is carrying his child...if she does carry it to term. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
