Daniel aka Germany was a foreign exchange student for the class of 2002. Once you got to know him, you couldn't resist loving him. He is remembered for his unique solos on the set in jazz band and for his wicked sense of humour; the great thing about hanging around with Germany is you never got bored! His German tongue twisters and crazy sounding profanity were just the thing to make you smile. He's greatly missed and his emails and phone calls are always welcome!
"It's all good, the German is here; everything's under control!"

The best feature about Germany (besides his hair) was his hugs. If you were having a bad day, just have him wrap his arms around you and everything was "all good" again.
This is a picture of my bestest German friend and the bass drum he affectionately named Ingrid. She misses you, Daniel, and so do I!
Daniel, Even though you're half a world away, I still love you dearly and I'm so thankful to have met you. You changed my life a lot and taught me how to laugh at my own insecurities. You are an awesome friend and I hope I never lose you. I have a million memories with you and I know that it WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN EASIER if I had never met you. You're an incredible person and I know there's a reason that we met. Maybe it was just to see who could kick the other's butt first (I will so win) but the experience has been wonderful. Always, Mandi
