An old Godard movie from France that I saw in film class... loved the first half. It's about this couple who are trying to get to this small town for the weekend before the woman's father dies and leaves his money to her mother. They encounter obstacles such as million-mile traffic pile-ups, car-wrecks, hitchhikers, losing their way, etc. It should have ended when they finally got to the town, but then they kill her mom and make off with the money... at which point it all goes to shit... and then they get kidnapped by what looks like the Yellow Submarine gang on acid.
