| The Hella's Angels are made up of students from four area high schools, Cisne, Clay City, Flora and North Clay. These communities are located in south-central Illinois about 2 hours east of St. Louis. Every day at 1:30p.m., the students involved in this program meet at Hella Electronics Corp. in Flora. The First semester of class is taught by professors from Olney Central College in Industrial Maintenance and where we learn about many of the aspects of fabricating our machine. The first two months of the second semester is the actual construction and testing phase of our robot. We train for driving and the various tasks at the competition as well as further develop our strategy. After competition, we go back in to class and have a mini-competition of our own. While we still haven't decided what we are going to do for our competition, it will be a blast none the less. |
