| Frequently Asked Questions are answered here, sometimes sarcastically... Q. What is Helix Alumni Band? A. Well, it's a band made up of alumni of the Helix Highlander Band. Q. What do you do? A. We play in the annual La Mesa Flag Day Parade in early June. Q: What's up with that picture at the top of this page? A: That's Glenn juggling fire. We like that about him. Q: Is he still alive? A: Amazingly enough! If you show up for Flag Day, we'll introduce you. Q. Back to Alumni Band, how long has it been going on? A. Alumni Band was started in 1998. This upcoming parade will be our seventh. It's still a pretty young operation. Q. How do I join? A. Just e-mail [email protected]m with your name, instrument, graduating class and anything else you'd like to include. Oh, and if there's a better way to update you than through e-mail, just slip that right on in. Q. How much of a commitment is it? A. It's actually not a commitment at all. We send out e-mail updates once every few months or so. We only perform once a year, which is really what makes it so great. We don't require money or anything like that, and your e-mail address is only used by us to give you the necessary information. |
