Jay Jay

This is my second film. Second only because I started shooting for it after I started shooting for 'Anchaneya'.

How I landed this role goes back to October 2002. I had just fnished acting in a television serial called 'Anni' for Director K. Balachander's television company (Minbimbangal). He put me on to his disciple director Charan who was at that point in the process of making a film for Director K. Balachander's film production company (Kavithalaya). Unfortunately things did not work out and the film was not made.

Many months later, around April of 2003, I was called by director Charan and told that I'd be doing 'Jay Jay'. I started shooting for the film in August 2003 and it was released in the 2nd week of November 2003.

The first 7 pictures at the begining of the album on the right were shot on day 1. Director Charan works extremely fast and all my portions were shot in just 5 days!

The highlight for me in this film is that I turn good guy in the end. This is not what they had planned for me initially but as we neared the end, both the director and the hero Madhavan made that little twist to my character.
