but that was more than enough! :) .... this was also my first time id ever seen Danny play.
i missed him at the Gatecrasher festival month before, but now i was eagerly anticipating his set. and wat a set it turned out to be.
track after track, he sure knows how to get a crowd workin.
he talks over a mic, and also mentions the track name, and remix! which i find so unique,. that is what makes him WHO he is. defiantely a great character, and one whos respected by many in the scene.... :) ....he also had his trademark hat on, and also, a huge torch with a smiley face,. thathe would wave across the crowd! to ppls faces and so on! as so kool and different!....he played Sasha's Cloud Cuckoo! omg! the BASS wooah! and the he played anothr of my favs, SaphireCuts - Free Your mind, on twisted records...i just stood still and took everything in,...amazing..

Djs: Satoshi Tomeii, fat Boy Slim + many many more!
aagh,,,,so where do i start,....finally got to space at 11am, thinkin that Satoshi would be playing around this time. we were wrong! he had
just finished! in the terrace, apparently he started at 8! wen Space opened! god! we were having breakfast accross the road, that time!
i wanted to shoot myself! ahh well. we had to make the most of it now, so we ventured inside, and danced away to the beats comin from
the Terrace Bar....then after an hour or 2, our very own 'adopted' aussie, Jason Bye came on and worked the crowd with some fresh n sexy
beats. was kool to see him play overseas. he played very well as always :) ... inside the main room, it was starting to fill up by 2pm...it was
so packed outside, so we just chilled inside, sat down and took some silly photos on the SPacePod photo camera. (none can be shown here!)
i was also togo to :"judgement Sunday" that same nite, and was askin myself how i was going todo it!..gah. i stayed at Space till 10pm. then
i took a cab, and went to my hotel, got changed and walked to Eden, which was just 10mins away from our hotel...... > > >

18 August 2002

Event:
Judgement Sundays
Club:
Eden
Dj's:
judge Jules and Ferry Corsten
finally walked down to Eden on my own and waited in line....didnt have to wait long, as i was on the VIP list (thanks to Ferry :)..got inside and ventured around the place. was a nice litle venue, nice decorations and lighting...kool.as the nite progressed, withing an hour ferry was due on the decks..and the dancefloor continued to grow and grow... :) .... i greeted ferry and talked for a while before he was due on. i asked him to play Ligaya as i hadnt heard it! so he promised me he would....and that he did.... :) ....he started the nite and played Sasha's and Junkie XL's collaboration (forget the track name!) ....track after track, ferry was loving every moment, and so were we!....uplifting brilliance, ferrys trademark! :) ....then, it came on, without even knowing it was Ligaya..i smiled and ferry noded his head to acknowledge that it was ligaya...those sweet strings, amazing! :)
he played for just under 2hrs, which was kinda short, would have loved a little more...but anyway! had a great time dancing away.
On came Jules....must say not my style at all...a little to banging and fast paced for me, im getting older by the day! (24 in may 2003!)GAH!. so im feeling it on my body too! :P (must b all those extreme nites ive had drinking away...bad bad)! ... i went up to the VIP area, which overlooked the main floor...i met up with ferry and also met his fellow dutchman and friend, Kid Vicious aka Ronald van Gelderen. we sat down , talked and erm....drank alot :P ... .mm .bacardi breezers rock! :) ... a while after, we were in the mood for a little boogie, so we all went downstairs to the 'house' room. Adam Freeland played before, didnt get the chance to hear him as ive heard good things about him...so, we went there, and Jules was on the decks! playing his trademark house set. (this always happens every sunday!)...i just had to see this!...it was all to much! i would have never expected him to play funky chunky house! and surprise me he did.! very kool!...nice to see he isnt all bang bang hard house! :P...

egh,.i was drinkin and drinkin...and starting to feel it too!....god..! never again! ferry was also enjoying himself on the dancefloor....go Fezz! :) pullin away some nice moves! heha...its kool to see dj's be one of "us" cause really, they are just like us.! ppl! normal ppl!...so funny wen ppl call the Gods...now please! :P hehe .. it was about 5am, and i decided to quit. way toomany drinks. and i cant say it was only me... (wont mention any names! hehehejjeje) .... so i said goodbye to ferry and co, and walked bak to my hotel. dont ask me how i did it. i just did! (and nearly walked into a wall....omg!).... the trashiest i will ever be! ive promised! ahha :P

19 August 2002
Event:
4 x 4
Club: El Devino, ibiza
Djs: Dave Seaman
. Danny Howells (he didnt show up!!! :/ )
After arriving at the club just after midnite, we walked inside, expecting the place to be slightly full, it wasnt !.
we went inside, and sat down and waited for some others to come. slowly, they all came in..but this felt like it was going to be a small turnout. well the club itself wasnt huge, no where near as large as Amnesia and so on. ..not that it mattered for me, i was there for the music! :)
So....Dave Seaman hit the decks and started off wonderful....
he played Lamb vs Cosmos - That sound...very very nice track, and nice vocals..
and continued to play his trademark progressive grooves very nicely....this was starting to be one of the best sets ive ever heard from Dave.
so many standout tracks, such good mixing...we then heard that Danny Howells was not going to come...that made things sour cause i was there mainly to hear him, as it had been a few months since i last heard him...but...shit happens ! (apparently we heard that he got wasted at a preparty and couldnt turn up! LOL...he is human too i guess! ) .... Dave continued on, and boy....i didnt want this nite to end...so much free dance floor space, kool...i could dance in freedom, and not have any sweaty bodies hitting me..ew! :P ... this kept on getting better and better. track after track, he played so many of my favs! god!!! .. . amazing :) .... so...he played another 2 hrs, in stead of an absent danny, and i must say this was one the best sets of ibiza....great nite....! :)

@
20 August 2002
Event: Renaissance
Club: Amnesia
Dj's: Danny Tenaglia (filled in for a sick john Digweed!) + Hernan Cattaneo
so.....it was the 3rd time visiting Amnesia... :) love that place! :) .... :) ..... We were at Cafe Del Mar beforehand , and had actually planned on a quiet one, due to the fact that we had a ferry leaving at 9am the following morning! but, from word of mouth and some last minute ads, Danny Tenaglia was added to the bill, so we didnt think twice!...the only bummer was arriving to the venue and then findin out that Digweed was not there due to an illness! DAmmit! oh well. we couldnt complain. but it was a shame i couldnt get to hear digweed, yet again.! :/
next time.!
Hernan was playing some fine progressive house, with a little tech and trancey melodies mixed in. He didnt dissapoint me..very good djin skills! Danny did fine as well. similar set to his other one i had heard a few days before, but still rocked the place! :) .... top nite!

24 August
Event: Creamfields UK
Place: Old Liverpool Airfield
Djs: hundreds!...erm well. go see for urselves: http://www.cream.co.uk
Fresh from a weeks worth of clubbing madness in Ibiza, i was ready to do it all over again!...So many dj's .....yet so little time, and not only that, those damn Time Clashes! doooh!...i hate that. i wanted to spend alll day and nite in the Global Underground Tent, and then there was the cream arena and the live stage! damnit!..... so choices had to be made! :/ ..... We got picked up by our driver, and then drove of to the venue, also picking up Canadian Techno dj, dj Tiga.. ... We finally arrived and received our press passes...so off we went....whilst walking into the main entrance, we met Ferry and his manager, Dave Lewis, and also Daves mum...coming out of their car. ferry was due on after Armin van Buuren, who was due on a few mins of us getting there...so....as usual. i wanted my uplifting trance fest, so i started off the nite in the Passion Arena, to the sounds of Armin van Buuren....and what a crowd pleaser he is! great music, ..that the crowd begged for more, and armin didnt dissapoint. he finished his set with a cheely little bootleg of pvd's famous for an angel. not as good as the original, but made everyone go crazy! ...so, Ferry was next on the dex....Ligaya, Punk and so on...loads of floofillers....and loads of hands in the air. it was definately a momen being behind him as he dropped Ligaya...the place looked so alive, and the lighting was so amazing...top stuff!.... during ferrys set, we ran out to the live stage, where underworld were playing...aahhhh..shame i couldnt stay for all, but hearing their classics was definately a moment!! wooaaah!... so ...ferry wrapped up, and then we made our way to the cream main arena. Oakenfold was playing, and my standout tune was his remix? of U2's - staring at the sun! amazing track and a sweet remix! :) ..... after Oakie, Tiesto came on and continued the trance fest. he started off with SaphireCuts - free ur mind! ooh there we go again..my fav track no doubt. :) and continued to set the pace for Paul van Dyk, who was on after him....Paul came on to the most noisiest reception...i guess everyone was there to hear him! :) ... again, track after track. the best tunes, the best mixin ahh..wot more can i say!...moment for me was backstage, dancing like a maniac to the sounds coming out of those huge speakers.....Superb! :) ...and then him playing for an angel! wooaa.. great moment.. :) .... after paul, another paul came on, Tall Paul... :) .we left and ventured around the other arenas, and grabbed one of those yukkie tasteless burgers to eat as we were so damn hungry. not that u care wot it tastes like, u just eat it! eww!... :/ ...

it was hell cold too. and i had a jacket that still made me cold. so we walked back into the Passion tent and spent some time listening to Guy Ornadel.....Lucient Foort also came in, and we talked to him for a while. kool guy.. must be the dutch boyz! :) ...armin ferry and so on. are all very open and friendly with everyone and so they should. they are only human afterall! :) .... so....the nite continued on ..and eventually it was soon daylight. We went into the BuugedOut! arena, and spent the last few hrs listening to Slovenian Techno Dj and Producer, Umek !..wowowowow!

he was playing and workin all those knobs on the mixer, along with some FX unit....it was very kool. he didnt dissapoint, and the thousands of clubbers still in the arena showed this..... . .eventually, it was all over... :( all good things come to an end as they say....so when 6am hit, we were all marshalled out to the cold. and it was raining slightly. great! : / ... we all looked like zombies walking out to the exit of the airfield ..it was a very funny sight indeed!..especailly that more than 1/2 of the crowd were all drug f****...LOL .... very very funny to watch!
we got into our shuttle bus, and headed for the station. ..it took us 5hrs waiting till we finally boarded the first train available into London! f*** they had picked a great time to do trackworks eh?....nevermind,. got home to London safely, and thats wot mattered.
11/10! an event ill remember for a long time! :)

so...tonite was Gatecrasher's monthly gig at Heaven in London...i caught the underground to charing Cross and made my way down villiers lane to the club. i was there early and there were already hundreds of clubbers waiting to get inside. i met 2 brothers who are devout GC fans. they havent missed one event yet!...very kool. we soon got in after 10, and i grabbed a drink and chilled....Ashley Casselle was on first, warming up the crowd with his trademark proggy beatz... ive seen him a few times now, and he gets better and better i must say! classic stuff.. loved it. soon Paul came on and at this point, the crowd was massive! there were definately too many ppl inside there, thats for sure! : / loads of sweaty bodies, and minimal aircondition! it was like a furnace! god!..that shouldnt happen! u need aircon! gah! . anyway, i couldnt complain, as i was inside the vip area for a while, to cool off from the intense heat. it was so unbearable! i even saw a girl colapse.... :/ a bad sight thats for sure. fortunately she was ok.. ..so on to the nite. ,massive trancers...the highlight: definately pauls re-edit of Sasha;s wavey Gravy....ggood god, u can only imagine my reaction! crazy!!!..and everyone in the place went nuts....pauls re-edit works well with his set,. it has the distinct pvd bassline and it fits so well! very nice and i hope it gets released! .... all in all...once again...it was a very enjoyable set, but i do hope they do somthing about that air con! !!!!
DENMARK

6 September 2002
Event: Okyo, Copenhagen, Denmark
Club: Vega
Djs: Paul van Dyk + localz
Pvd cancelled a few hours before....sure, it .was a shame, as i had a few friends that had traveled all the way from
Northen sweden to hear him....but he is human, and does need time off if hes not feeling too well!.
e specially when his hearing is concerned! :!

14 September 2002
Event: Renaissance
Club: Cafe de Opera, Oslo, Norway
Djs: Inkfish, Futureshock + localz
after a nice drinkin session, right outside Oslo Central station (hah dont ask!) we made our way by taxi to the venue. we got there and made our way inside to a very 'intimate' venue, it was very small and cosy, split into 2 room, one upstairs and one downstairs. Inkfish played before Futureshock and they played some fresh new tunes too... really kool....then Futureshock came on, and started their trademark chunky proggy house. i enjoyed the time we spent ther, but the crowd were not ur usual clubbing crowd. it was so posey, and i didnt like the vibe much, which was a shame cause the music was damn fine!. the club was also closing at 3am! and it was about 2am wen we left....
ok nite, good music etc..

14 September 2002
Event: ?
Club: Milk Bar, Oslo
Djs: locals + Guest, Dj Stigma (norway)
...so...after a few phone calls to other friends, we made our way walking to Milk Bar, were dj Stigma was playing as a guest.
we met our norweigen friends, and sat down for a chill. the soundsystem was slightly damaged, so that cut short Stigmas' set.he played till 4ish and played some great new tunes! very enjoyable,..it was a small bar.club and cosy sofas...

we all stayed till the end, and wrapped up at friends Lars' place, 10mins away. so we all chilled for a few hours.....and we had to leave Oslo for Gotenborg at 6am, so the time came and we said goodbye and made our way to central station to get our bus bacj=k to sweden
oslo was a great city..slightly expensive but definately a place i want to explore more next time around!

to be continued.....
more silly facts to be added soon! :)
