Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern -- whose daughter Georgina recently married another singer from the Irish boy band, Nicky Byrne -- was among more than 350 guests for the ceremony at the 800-year-old Ballintubber Abbey in County Mayo. The picture postcard abbey, founded in 1216 by Cathal O'Connor, King of Connaght, is reputedly the oldest church in Ireland to have been in continuous use. Afterwards the couple and their guests were celebrating the marriage at Ashford Castle, a grand Victorian pile 20 miles away in Cong on the shores of Lough Corrib. Actor John Wayne stayed at the hotel during the filming of "The Quiet Man" in the village more than 50 years ago, and other guests over the years have included King George V, Princess Grace of Monaco and U.S. President Ronald Reagan. Ballintubber Abbey and Ashford Castle were also the venues chosen by Irish "James Bond" actor Pierce Brosnan when he married former model and TV reporter Keely Shaye Smith in 2001.
