This web page is a special tribute to a special lady
Helen Duran is widely known as a boss, a superior chef, and a culinary arts instructor to some.
But to others, she is also a friend, and idolized by many (including the author of this page).
This is why we pay tribute.
For many years in Dallas, Helen Duran has mesmerized the culinary world with her talents as a chef.
After many years in many kitchens, she turned her efforts towards teaching the future members of the culinary industry by lending her talents to teaching at El Centro College.
There, she touched many students in her special way, especially when it came time to make 560 copies of the Basic Food Prep Mid-Term.
And now, she is the Deli/Cheese Manager at the Central Market store in Dallas, helping once again with her many talents to educate the citizens of the city in their deli and cheese selections.
Helen has touched many of us out there, and we all appreciate the help and the friendship that she has shown as well.
So, on October 16th, 2002, please wish Helen the happiest of birthdays.

Note: This web page was created by someone who has known Helen Duran for several years, and holds her in high esteem. In fact, this person even works for her part-time (But does not hate working in the deli, contrary to popular opinion! After all, it's not every day that you get to work for your idol.) One problem though, this person writes pages like these because he is very bored most of the time.
