Lord, my God as I regard your instructions concerning the fourth commandment, I ask you to open my heart, so I may admit the ways in which I may have been unkind to my parents. As a good parent, you, Lord God, understand that we often fail because we can take our parents for granted.
Have I failed: -to love and respect my parents?
-to give my parents obedience, assistance and gratitude?
-to foster harmony in my family?
-to educate my children in the faith, and teach them their prayers?
-to provide as far as possible for the physical and emotional needs of my
children?
-to guide my children in the choice of a vocation?
Lord, forgive me for any sins I may have committed against my parents or guardians. Give me the grace to help them and pray for them regularly.

Lord God, please bring to my mind the many ways in which we can violate this Commandment. Have I knowingly or lightly dismissed my failures in this area? Lord, help me to see.
Have I failed: -to appreciate that all life is sacred to the Lord?
-to see God in the poor and suffering or made little of human life?
-to come to the rescue of those in distress?
-by my deeds of omission or by my bad example
-by my murderous thoughts or deeds---anger, fighting, hatred, revenge,
-drunkenness, reckless driving, abortion, or suicide
-by leading others into sin?
by not helping the victims of violence, famine or war?
Dear Lord, give me a great reverence for all human life. Help me to control my anger. Keep me from sins of hatred by praying for those who have hurt me. Help me to avoid road rage. If anyone has violated this Commandment by abortion help me to lead them back to confession and forgiveness.
Lord I pray for guidance as I meditate on your sixth commandment. There may be things hidden about myself that I don�t want to face. Help me to be truthful as I examine this part of my life. You call us to a high degree of purity, show us the roadblocks and help us get by them.
Have I failed to live a chaste life?
-to value sexual dignity
-to respond in love to the needs of my spouse?
-to avoid acts of impurity or have I engaged in acts contrary to chastity, such as masturbation,
-fornication, pornorgaphy, homosexuality, or adultery, have I looked for pornorgraphy on the internet?
-to avoid leading others into sin.
Lord, Give me the grace to live a pur and holy life.
Lord God, I see that dishonesty has many forms. Help me to acknowledge any areas of my life that may need to be transformed by the truth.
Have I been disrespectful to my employee or failed to pay then their wages?
-Have I failed to acknowledge the gifts and talents of others?
-Have I failed to help others reach their potential?
-Have I failed to be a good steward of the resources God has given me
-Have I been kind to all God�s creatures?
-Have I been a good steward of the possessions God has given me?
-Have I given alms to the poor?
-Have I taken money, goods or services that did not belong to me?
-Have I failed to make restitution for the goods and services I have stolen?
-Have I taken or diverted money from my employer?
-Have I taken things from my place of employment or used them without permission?
Dear Lord, help me to be an honest person and to respect all the property of others. Help me to avoid attachment to money or goods and to be generous to the poor.
