At Gwysol's Tower
DAY 3:
On the third day our Brave adventurers found themselves at Gwysol's Tower.

The structure was badly damaged and still burning with magical fires through out portions of the stone structure.  The Eastern and Southern portion of the second story were blown away and thick smoke poured out.  The elven druid's sensitive nose told her there were unnatural flames burning away at the building giving off this putrid smoke.

Even more disturbing was the discovery of not one, but two lesser demi-human tribes vying for posession of the tower.  A small group of Kobolds had taken posession of the tower, while a larger, stronger group of goblin's lay siege.

Knowing they couldn't stop and turn around to return empty handed, they had to fulfill their mission.  Using their ingenuity, (well... all except for the rather clumsy and not so stupendously bright Barbarian) the three companions, used their talents to overwhelm the Goblins, killing 7 of the 8.

Not having planned too far in advance, but knowing they could not delay, they raced into the structure knowing for fear of being surrounded.  There they charged up the stairs and into the master bedroom where the greatest noise came from the loud and pesky Kobolds.

There they found 4 rowdy beasts and oddly, 1 dead Kobold.  A heated battle ensued and the stout but inexperienced Barbarian nearly lost his life to the flurry of Kobold attacks.  Three of the beasts fell, while the last eacaped for fear of his life.  The healing touch of Winnie kept Culm away from Death's door, while the ever optimistic Bard knew that time drew nigh for them to complete their mission and get out of this place.

And that is exactly what they did.

A quick examination of the room rendered little results, a chest near the already dead Kobold (which appeared to have been beated to death by his fellow tribal members.  In the chest they found a nice sum of money.  960GP or so, and a few other coins.  In the room there were books, but none of any magical substance.

The druid wove her spell to detect magical presence in the area.  This led them down the hall to the Wizard's heavily damaged, blood spattered casting chamber.  Quickly they found the following items.
1)  A Heavily Enchanted Spell Book
2)  2 Enchanted daggers.  1 Red, 1 Blue.
3)  An unenchanted book full of notes.

The druid seemed to be the only one to be able to pick up and hold the daggers btu she could tell little about them.  Down the hall in another room, faint emanations of magic crept into the Druid's magic sensitive vision but the team reorganized and chose to disregard that, knowing they probably had found any items they needed to return to the Chapel of St. Cuthbert in Erminet.

The two women hastily gathered the oversized human and made their way to a seemingly safe retreat where they camped over night.

DAY 4:
The following morning the Barbarian was in much better health.  He must have been more overwhelmed by the shock of injury, rather than damage itself from his wounds.

On the road back to Erminet, the group meets a preist of St. Cuthbert who is also destined to Erminet.  He has tales of his own, though quiet he is.  His name is Botome.

He told you of a Drake attacking his caravan that was bringing a holy symbol, a Cudgel of St. Cuthbert to Erminet.  The Cudgel was taken and he was only survivor of the attack except for a Mage/Priest send ahead to try to get reinforcements.  The reinforcements never arrived, the Caravan was decemated, and the Mage/Priest hasn't been heard from.   He has expressed little interest in your mission, and seems very wrapped up in his recent failure.  The loss of friends and a holy item placed in his care is like a heavy weight on his shoulder.  Despite this, he does agree to join you on the journey back to Erminet
