~*The Witches Rede (Circa 1972)*~

Bide the Witches Rede ye must,
In perfect love and perfect trust.

Soft of eye, light of touch,
Speak little, listen much.

Mind the threefold law ye should,
Three times bad and three times good.

In thy hand of write thy book should be,
Let naught but Witches touch or see.

When misfortune is enow,
Wear the blue star on thy brow.

When the moon rides at her peak,
Then your heart's desire seek.

Cast the circel thrice about,
To keep all evil spirits out.

To bind the spell everytime,
Let the spell be spoke in rhyme.

Deosil go by the waxing moon,
Sing and dance the Witches Rune.

Tuathal go where the moon doth wane,
And the werewolf howls by the dread wolfsbane.

As a man does master a woman for love,
Master ye the power from above.

From a man to a woman the power does flow,
If together they work, together they grow.

Eight words the Witches Rede fulfill,
An it harm none, do what ye will.
