The Lion is craved so realistic that I thought it is almost real. I see this kind of lions on the web, street, dvd and many other sources. Among all of them, I like this on the most. The Chinese in the ancient time use these lions statue as gurdians to ther family. But none of those can match this lion statue I find in the museum of fine art. Don't you, think? This lion was found in Greece and is made by the Greeks in the Archaic Period which is about 550 B.C. They made this lion with red limestone (originally coated with smooth plaster and painted). Red Limestone....Where?
