It's Zeus...the most powerful god among the Olympian gods. I don't know why when I saw him, maybe my latin teacher Ms.Fillion talks too much about him, I recognize it must be Zeus when I first saw his face. Hermes is the son of Zeus. (The previous picture) But, anyhow, he looks much younger when I saw the movie "The Clash of the Titans" (Did they do this on propose?) This head of Zeus is found in the present day Turkey. Greek people made this. (Why do they only make the head? Actually, maybe, because the body is lost or have not been discovered yet.)This was made in Late Classical Period from about 350340 B.C. and out of the marble from Mt. Pentelikon (How do they know where the marble comes from and the head of Zeus is made out of marble? Today's techology are so advance. I am proud!) near Athens.
