FROM DUSK TILL DAWN

This action/ horror film starts of as an ordinary " criminals running away from the law" flick...until of course they meet the vampires. Starring Harvey Keitel, George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino this film is a must see for any violence fan who thinks that some films just don't have enough of it. Directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Tarantino himself. This film is about two brother's who have broken out of prison and robbed a bank are on the run from the law to cross the border. They kidnap an ex-precher and his two kids and proceed to cross the border...where everything begins to wrong as soon as the sun sets.

THE GOODFELLAS

This is a classic in my opinion, a real gangster film. It star's Robert de Niro, Joe Pesci and Paul Sorvino. Directed by Martin Scorsese who also wrote it along side Nicholas Pileggi.The film is about a boy who becomes accepted into a gang through his loyal service to them and basicly what he does in the gang. But even the first words sum up the film in one easy sentence, "Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a gangster" or along those lines anyway. Another violent film but truly brilliant

EVENT HORIZON

This is definately the scariest film I've seen and I've seen alot of horros. It stars Lawrence Fishburn, Kathleen Quinlan and Sam Neil. Directed by Paul Anderson and written by Philip Eisner. This film is about a group of people who go in search of the Event Horizon, a ship that has the ability to cut through space and take itself anywhere in a matter of seconds. However when they find the ship, the whole of the Event Horizon's crew have been brutely killed and they discover the ship has gone further than our universe, and into hell.

THE MATRIX

This is the most sophisticated action film to date in my opinion using the new technique of "bullet time". The special effects are truley amazing and I can't wait for the next two matrix sequels. It stars Keanu Reeves, Lawrence Fishburn and Carrie-Anne Moss. It was directed by Andy Wachowski and Larry Wachowski and was also written by them. it is about a computer generated world we live in called "The Matrix" where humans are used to power machines. The matrix is designed so that humans go on about their "lives" without resisting this slavery. The only hope for the future is "The One" who can re-write the matrix and do what he wants basicly. This film has some violence and alot of really cool, black coats. And some fantastic fight scene's too.

SHREK

This film has outstanding graphics and a really funny storyline with a good laugh every minute. It's on of the best for family entertainment. It stars Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz. It is basicly a rather unconventional fairy tale with an orge as a hero and a talking donkey as a sidekick in a land surrounded by fairy tale creatures. The evil prince is about 3ft shorter than he should be and the princess knows kung fu.
