Loose Thread began in 2000 and ended
in 2004. They released two albums
during that time: the "Dry Leaves" EP and
the full length "A Collection of Loose Thread."
Before being signed, the band suffered
numerous regections and set-backs. However, in
mid 2000, they secured a record deal and
recorded the 5 song "Dry Leaves" album
which won them praise among fans and some
independent critics. Their follow-up was
the uneven "A Collection of Loose Thread" which
did not resonate with the fans and critics in the same way "Dry Leaves" did. Facing the critical and commerical
dissapointment, the band decided to part ways in 2004.
Solanaceous Records has recently
remastered their early songs and
plans to release a B-Sides compilation.
