This site is dedicated to Bucky, our mixed breed canine friend.

Bucky is a neutered male who came to live with us after his initial owners were no longer able to take care of him.

After some time at our house, we realized that Bucky just could not live indoors with the cats (because he chased them constantly). He therefore became an outdoor dog. Bucky adjusted very quickly to his new lifestyle and enjoys playing with kids, barking at them, and chasing everything that is within reach.

Bucky, "The Barker", (as the kids in our subdivision like to call him) is a great burglar alarm. In fact, in the late evening hours of September 22nd, 2000, we heard Bucky's bark for quite some time. We didn't think much at all when the barking stopped. It wasn't until the next morning when we realized that someone had opened the gate, letting Bucky escape from our backyard.

Knowing, how much Bucky likes to walk, and how fast he can run, we started our search immediately. However, we did not have any luck with our search! We made fliers, ran ads in the newspaper, created a website, contacted the veterinarians in the area, visited the shelters, and told everyone that we could possibly tell about Bucky.
