Method |

Step 1: mix together all pourpose flor, salt and food color and mix with water till u get a bread dough consitency. then add about 2 tablespoon more flour and add the oil a little at a time till the oil is completly mixed into the dough and there is no excess out on the dish. keep this asaid for about 2-3 hrs.
Step 2: In a cooker put the dal and pressure cook till its all pasty. then put this paste dal into a frying pan and add the sugar and mix till desolved add nutmeg powder and cardamom powder yellow food color and ghee and keep mixing till all the water has gone completly and it forms a lump the add one table spoon of sugar mix again and set aside to cool completly.
Step 3: make balls of both the dal and the dough about golf ball size. dust ur work table with rice flour. Flated the dough in you hand and place the dal ball in the middle and close it up. roll it in your palm and start flaten it out using a rolling pin.. add rice flour so it doesnt stick. put this on to a heated pan and fry each side for about 2-3 minutes. should size it till it becoms brown. itl tak on a little whitish color. You can serve this with milk payasam. |
