Heidi's performance has been described as refreshing, charismatic and even comical at times, definitely very captivating. Her audience feels as comfortable as if she were in her own livingroom entertaining guests. Her confident but casual style is due in part toi such a diverse background, however, what sets her apart from others is her unique five-octave voice.

As well as her own compositions she enjoys singing remakes of previously made R&B Hits. Her reportoire draws from the past four decades and includes many of the current hits of today. Heidi is also an accomplished 6-string and 12-string acoustic guitar player.

HEIDI WILSON - HISTORY

Her mother, Lynne Taylor, was a founding member of The Rooftop Singers who released the record breaking hit "Walk Right In". Her father, Skip Weshner, was a well known radio personality in Los Angeles who in the late 60's and early 70's introduced to the airwaves numerous unknown music artists which have since become household names.

"Of course I didn't realize it at the time, but our house was like Grand Central Station", says Heidi of her childhood in Southern California. "I can remember my dad interviewing Joni Mitchell in his home studio when I got caught smoking. Linda Ronstadt, Bob Dylan and Gordon Lightfoot were among the many family friends who were always at the house."

Heidi sang in her first paid recording session at the age of nine. By the time she was eleven, Jerry Jeff Walker had given her what is now a very special tambourine, and Harry Nilsson had given her the first piano lesson.

Since then, Heidi has accumulated numerous album credits, racked up several national jingles and performed on tour as back-up vocalist with Charlie Daniels, Hoyt Axton, Frank Sinatra and others.
