| I dont own any of these characters, I dont make any money off this, its just for fun. J The shows that I borrowed the characters from are: West Wing and Kung Fu: The Legend Continues (for teachers) and Magnificent Seven (for students). If you want to comment you can write me directly at [email protected]. Enjoy! The Four-Corners Bardic Academy Information Located on the grounds of the Academy is the Four-Corners Wardery. A wardery is similar to an orphanage. The Bardic Guild runs it. The person in charge is known as the Warden and the children who live there are called Wards. The people of Cygma, which is a continent on the world of Cygma, live in different regions based on their race. For example, the people of the north tend to quite short with blond curls and blue eyes where the people of Gulf Cygma are medium height with reddish curls (strawberry-blond, chestnut, auburn, red, orange, etc.) with green eyes. Its not true segregation, its just that the people dont tend to travel much and intermarry with other populations, so people from one area all tend to look the same. (The consequences of a small gene pool) Normans, the Cygman word for Wanders, tend to have straight, dark hair and green or hazel eyes. They travel around in caravan-type wagons in extended family groups. Basically, they are the Gypsies of Cygma. The main difference being that they have not faced the persecution faced by the Gypsies here on Earth. Normans, like Bards, are one of the few groups of Cygmans that does a lot of traveling. As a consequence, they are often welcomed into towns by people hungering for news of what is happening far away. The Point is a nearby world (Cygma orbits the Point) that has many small islands rather than any large landmasses. It is populated by Cygmans that were different enough from the Mainlanders that they left. Many kinds of people live there. Whether the different was religious, value-oriented or based on appearance, the people of the Point chose to leave Mainland Cygma because they were uncomfortable living around the Mainlanders. One good example is the Puretians, who left because they were very devoutly religious and couldnt stand living in a place where people had such loose morals (compared to theirs). Unlike the world of Cygma, there are places where they all live together rather than separating depending on race. People of Cygma and the Point come of age at 21 years old. The wards are considered old enough to leave the wardery at this point. As a direct consequence of how youngsters are treated, they are much younger at 16 or 17 than the 16 and 17 year olds that live here. |
