The Swiss Adventure Begins
November 18, 2002

We thought we would send you a little up date on our Swiss adventure. We had a busy weekend; we spent Saturday looking for furniture not too successfully since it was pouring rain and we kept getting lost, LOL. We did in fact find a few of the stores recommended to us and got an idea of what we could find. Contempory is definitely the theme of Switzerland and they have so many handy hidden storage compartments. We finished the day with an authentic Swiss dinner at a friend of Peter's house who was entertaining some other people from the San Diego office. We all had Swill fondue. It was really fun and they boys enjoyed the fondue.

On Sunday, we all went skiing near Gstaad. It was glacier skiing, which none of us had ever done. We took to gondolas up which was an event in itself. We are all so use to waiting in line for our turn and it seem the Europeans are use to pushing their way in. We ended up being the last in line even if we started out the first, it was kind of funny. We caught on by the end. The skiing was nice, very different, a little flat because the whole mountain was not open because there was not snow covering the bottom. I must say it was beautiful to be on top!

The boys had a great time and it was nice to be on a slight incline to help them get their ski legs back. Davis picked it up again after the shock of the cross country trek we had to make to the lift. LOL Drake tried skiing again after a season of only snow boarding. It took him a bit to get into the hang of it but in the end he was doing a good job. We are all very sore this morning, even the boys. Davis had thought he broke both legs they were so sore when he woke up, HaHaHa.

Today Peter is going to Munich. We were going to join him but the boys were to tired and didn't think the 5 hr car ride sounded too fun. So instead we get to go for a long walk looking for a laundry mat, LOL. Thursday we go to look at two more schools. Davis has a spot at St George but they don't have room for Drake. We have found space for both of them at a bi-lingual international school and Drake has a possible spot in a Junior High called Mount Rosa. Very neat school next to the Chateaux Chillion.
